In order to protect the natural beauty, the visitor experience, and ecological sustainability, measures to manage visitor numbers have been gradually introduced in recent years. Capacity restrictions were introduced as early as the 2025 summer season, requiring, among other things, online reservations for the mountain ascent (time slot/boarding pass); this serves to better distribute visitor flows and avoid waiting times for groups and individual guests.
