Lake Oeschinen is a Unesco World Heritage Site and considered by many to be the most beautiful mountain lake in the Alps. It lies above Kandersteg and is an intact mountain lake fed by the glacial streams of the three-thousand-metre peaks Blüemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Fründenhorn and Doldenhorn. Cosy mountain restaurants and secluded spots invite you to linger. If the water is too cold for swimming, hire a rowing boat and explore the lake on a boat trip. Or continue your hike on one of the numerous routes. See you soon at Lake Oeschinen!
