Made with love

The dishes served at the Berghotel Oeschinensee are prepared in-house as much as possible. The kitchen crew is at work daily with passion and love. We use predominantly Swiss products: only Swiss wines, beers, and spirits.

Group Menus

Up to 50 persons can order à la carte.

Gastronomy

We use locally-sourced products as much as possible. The lamb meat comes from our own organic farm in Kandersteg. Ecology and sustainability are very important to us. We bake fresh bread, fruit tarts, and other treats daily. Our baked goods, for example, are made from our 10-seed house mix. The fruit tarts and chocolate cake are made from pure spelt flour (heirloom grain).

Cold Feet

Come in for a pit stop, warm your feet at the fire, and enjoy the atmosphere and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The house is located directly at Lake Oeschinen. Starting at the end of January, the panoramic terrace with seating for more than 200 affords beautiful views across the frozen Lake Oeschinen and into the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

NEW: Soft Ice Cream

Beginning Winter 2017 / 2018, soft-serve ice cream with a large selection of toppings with be sold at the Berghotel Oeschinensee. The following applies: if it is too cold – you are too weak!

Our own Organic Farm

All of our lamb meat comes from our own organic agricultural operation. We have around 40 ewes. Father David and son Christoph recharge their batteries here… the bleating of the sheep is somehow very calming. The specialty of the house is braised organic lamb with red cabbage and house-m             ade Spätzli (noodles). Depending on availability, we also sell organic sheepskin.

Oeschi Team

We are very proud of our Oeschi Team. The average is more than 14 years. We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continual commitment. We couldn’t do it without you.
