General information: Spring at Oeschinensee - Installations and paths open according to the digital map. The Oeschinensee can be reached by Cable car from 08:30-18:00 or on foot. The hiking trails above Lake Oeschinen are closed. Exception: Trail to Unterbergli is open. Do not walk on closed paths, danger of wet avalanches and falling rocks.


Hiking tip: Hiking trail Kandersteg - Oeschinensee and mountain station - Oeschinensee open. There is still snow at higher altitudes.

Mountain station lockers - in operation
Lockers Large, medium and small lockers are available at the valley and mountain stations. Ski depots are located at the valley and mountain stations. A changing room is also available at the valley station. Payment by card, cash or cell phone possible.

Picnic area

At the mountain station on the 1st floor (take the path around the house). Open 10-15h. Cannot be reserved, capacity max. 40 people.

Lockers and ski storage

Large, medium and small lockers are available at the valley and mountain stations. There are also ski depots on the mountain and in the valley. You can comfortably put on your ski equipment in the heated room in the valley station. Payment is possible by card, mobile phone or coin.

Picnic area

In the mountain station, 1st basement (take the path around the house) is a picnic room available. Open 10-15h - not reservable.

Wheelchair & other assistive devices

The Cable car is at ground level and therefore offers uncomplicated access with a wheelchair or other assistive device.

In winter, however, the best way to get to the lake and back is with the help of a sledge.

Otherwise, access to the Bergstübli directly at the mountain station is guaranteed.
