Information about camping at Oeschinensee

Wild camping is prohibited in the entire region Oeschinensee . A ranger is out and about in the area every day, including in the evenings, to inform guests. Among other things, wild campers who disregard the camping ban will be asked to take down their tents. Please only use official campsites for overnight stays.

Camping Rendez-vous Kandersteg

Next to the valley station is the official camping site "Rendez-vous". There are also places to camp at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC).

Judicial camping ban

In order to protect the tranquil natural environment and the wildlife and farm animals at Oeschinen at night, there is a judicial ban on camping in the Oeschinensee region. The fine for non-compliance is up to CHF 2000. The Oeschinensee ranger is on duty every day, including in the evening, on patrols, seeks dialogue and, in extreme cases, calls in the police.

We call on all visitors to Oeschinensee to adopt the basic attitude of "leave only your footprints". So that everyone can enjoy nature respectfully.
