1. Up with the cable car, down by foot
Mountain railway with the cable car to Oeschinen. At the top station, there’s a mountain coaster. In 25 minutes you can walk to the Oeschinensee in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here, you can hike back to the lower station of the cable car in 1 hour. Duration: 2.5 hours
2. Cable car & walk to the Oeschinensee
Two different walking paths / circular trails lead from the cable car’s upper station to the Oeschinensee. The circular trails are ideal for older guests, families with small children (prams), and gourmets. Many restaurants are located on the path.
This hike is suitable for children and strollers. Every day, the UNESCO Electromobile makes trips every half-hour beginning at 12 noon. This service is offered for guests who only want to make a one-way trip on foot. Duration: 1 – 1.5 hours
3. Circular hike Heuberg
This panoramic hike is considered the most beautiful on the Oeschinensee. The view from the lookout point is breathtaking. From up here, all of the Oeschinensee can be seen, in all its majesty. And the flowers in spring and summer are magnificent. On the way, you’ll find various restaurants and Alpine huts where you can get a bite to eat. A cool dip in the Oeschinensee will round out this hike. For this hike, appropriate hiking shoes (and experience!) are recommended. Duration: 3 hours
