You can fish in this superb mountain lake environment both in summer and winter.

 

In winter you need ice-drills to make holes in the ice since it can be up to 40cm. thick.

 

Fishing licenses of the Canton Bern are valid. Day licenses can be purchased from the Tourism Office in Kandersteg as well as at the boat rental office at the lake.

 

The most important fish are lake trout, Canadian lake trout, rainbow trout. Please note that fishing is undertaken at your own risk. In winter there is danger of avalanches.
